Who Needs A Life Coach?
If you don’t know what you want, then it’s hard for anyone else to tell you how to get there. A good coach can give you an idea of where you should start but if you don’t know what direction you need to take or which path would lead you closer to your goal then no one can really help you.
You might think “I’m not sure I even know what my goals are” – well maybe you’re right!
But let me ask you something: Do you feel like you’ve accomplished everything in life that you wanted to accomplish? Have you reached every single milestone on your list? Are you happy with yourself? Or are you still looking forward to more challenges?
The answer to these questions tells us whether we have achieved our full potential yet. And if we haven’t, then why not? Why aren’t we satisfied with ourselves? What could possibly hold us back? Is it fear? Fear of failure?
Fear of success? Maybe both?
Maybe we just lack confidence? We may believe that we can achieve anything because we’ve seen others succeed before us. But when we actually try to follow in their footsteps we find out that we fail miserably. So we stop trying altogether.
Or perhaps we simply lack motivation. Perhaps we never had any real desire, to begin with. It was always about getting somewhere else first.
So here come the questions again: How much time did you spend thinking about what you were going to become? Did you ever dream about becoming successful? Were you dreaming as a child? Was it only after you became older that you started thinking about it?
What happened between childhood and adulthood?
Did you grow up surrounded by people who inspired you? Who gave you hope and encouragement? People who believed in you and supported you?
Did you learn from them? From those around you? Did you listen to them? Learn from them? Take advice from them?
How many times did you hear someone say “you’ll never make it”? How often did you hear “don’t bother”, “it won’t work”. You probably heard some negative words too.
And now you wonder…why didn’t I listen? Why didn’t I pay attention? Why didn’t I care enough?
Oprah Winfrey has 4 coaches and Bill Gates once said that everyone needs a coach. If you want to get from where you are to where you want to be and reach your potential the fastest way to do this is to get a coach. If you look at actors and high-performance athletes you will see that they all have coaches.
A coach will help you to get to where you want to go and stay there.
If you are not clear about what you want then the first step for you is to book a discovery or clarity session with a coach. This will help you assess where you are and clarify where you want to go.
What are you waiting for? Do it for yourself and do it now!
It depends on what kind of person you are. Some people thrive off being coached while others prefer to figure things out themselves. The best thing you can do is pick a coach that fits your personality type.
We discover together how you operate so that you don’t end up wasting time and money on a coach who doesn’t fit you.
